I had a metal print made. The colors are vibrant and shiny like glass which is what I wanted for my 1/2 bath

Artist's Description
Oil painting of a quiet winter scene of Falmouth Heights Beach on Cape Cod.
Often crowded with tourists and seasonal residents during the summer months, the beach on this winter morning was peaceful with only the sound of the surf and the seagulls. Years ago this area was a popular spot for young adults due to the two nightclubs above and below the cliff, it has changed over the years and is now home to high end condos and a more subdued atmosphere at the Casino. Falmouth Heights beach is also the location of the finish for the famous and scenic Falmouth Road Race which is held every year in August.
About Sue Birkenshaw
My mom, Susan Jean Birkenshaw, was born on October 15th, 1963 and passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2018. I am continuing her legacy through her art on this page. In later years I fell in love with oils as their richness enabled me to better capture the depth and light of my subjects. I am drawn to the deep colors, sharp contrasts and vivid detail that I perceive around me which often comes through in my paintings. Buildings and architecture fascinate me so you'll find a lot of them in my work, but most of all it's about the next...
